Seems like everyone is feeling Taio's new single 'Come On Girl'.....

...the track is getting major spins from Radio 1, 1XTra, Kiss, Galaxy, Capital & Choice who have all found space for it on their playlists. Plus the slamming new video is getting it's dues on The Box, The Hits ,Smash Hits and Kiss channels and the singles not even due to hit the streets until March 3rd. The hugely anticipated album 'Departure' hits the streets March 17th.

Meanwhile Taio's also been getting love from the US too with his track 'She's Like A Star' which has been picking up some significant taste plays on HOT97 which is one of New York's leading radio stations.

Taio’s new video for ‘Come On Girl’ is setting a serious pace on the TV video charts right now and the track itself is this weeks 11th most heard track in the country on UK radio!!

The single is not even available until 25 Feb (digital) and 3 March (CD) but the good news is the banging Wideboys, Sticky and Delinquent remixes which have been released early are going down such a storm that their sales alone have already seen Taio within site of chart.

It’s all hotting up people…..make sure you don’t miss Taio at the weekend on BBC 2’s Sound show on Sat afternoon at 3.40.

In a awesome display of remix power the wideboys version of ‘Come On Girl’ climbs up the chart today to No. 16 on iTunes.

With the download for the single not even available until Monday there’s no better indicator that people are feelin’ this tune.

Meanwhile Taio’s been keeping up his end, check out this brilliant full live band performance at the weekend on BBC Sound of Taio doing his thing live. (His clip is about 9mins into the show).

Meanwhile Brits night gave Taio a real kick when he spotted a billboard of himself on the way to the Brits party. Check out his myspace blog to see a man appreciating the moment he’s in.

The word on Taio’s new single ‘I Can Be’ is hotting up. Set to be released in stores on May 26 it’s already making it’s presence felt on the iTunes chart.

Taio’s got plenty coming up to make sure ears are open to this top new tune. In the meantime here’s a little reminder of his recent show at Ronnie Scotts performing a sharp version of ‘I Can Be’.

Not only a great music writer but also able to turn his talent to the literary side too, Taio has got himself involved with ‘Paper Cuts’ which is an initiative to get young people engaged in writing. Supported by ChildLine and Spinebreakers.co.uk, ‘Paper Cuts’ is calling for young people to be part of a nationwide writing competition by writing their own ‘Paper Cut’ - which is a 100 word piece of fiction, based on the question ‘What Matters to You? Some of the best will be in with a chance of getting their work published by Penguin and the winner will have their 100 words recorded by a celebrity and hosted on the Spinebreakers website. Taio has revealed he’ll be a guest performer at this year’s MOBO awards which are set to take place in Wembley Arena on Oct 15. In the company of the likes of Estelle and John Legend Taio will be teaming up with the Sugababes for a special one off performance which is set to be one of the show’s highlights.
